Daughters of Penelope

I was honored to attend a meeting last night to talk with a group of wonderful women. The Daughters of Penelope welcomed my Chairman of the Board Anastasia K Merkel and myself in to share what The Welcome Home Group does to assist veterans and their families with their career readiness. It was a great meeting and I look forward to working with them in the future. The Daughters of Penelope will be holding an event  to benefit The Welcome Home Group. You can see the information below. We hope to see you there.

Working with Veterans in Miami, Fl.

The Welcome Home Group travels across The United States, working with Veterans and their family to better prepare them for their journey looking for civilian employment. All of our services are no cost. Our organization is made up of 100% unpaid volunteers whose focus is the success of the veteran.

Taking the Mission to West Palm Beach

The Welcome Home Group went to West Palm Beach last month to talk to 100 plus Nation Guard members. These men and women, only hours before we showed up, returned from Oklahoma. They were exhausted but every one of them stayed to participate in the event. We signed up 40 veterans into the program that day!  Unemployed, Underemployed, didn’t matter, they were excited to see our program and how successful it is and the new level of innovation it brings. They were glad to see something different from everything else out there today.

Here are a few pictures from the event

Veteran Car Show

The Welcome Home Group attended the 4th annual South Florida Corvette show at Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet in Coconut Creek, Fl this past Sunday.
We spoke with many veterans who were in attendance and collected $50 in donations to help our mission.  Below are some of the pictures that were
taken at the show
